Cinemas in Qatar: VOX and Novo Locations
Where to watch a movie in Qatar, covering VOX Cinemas and Novo Cinemas locations, and what to check before you book.
Qatar's cinemas sit inside its major malls rather than as standalone theaters. This guide covers the two main chains and where to find them. We read each chain's own site and each mall's own listing in September 2026.
Cinema locations
| Chain | Location | Known for |
|---|---|---|
| VOX Cinemas | Doha Festival City | An 18-screen multiplex reported to include Qatar's first 4DX theater, IMAX, and VIP screens |
| VOX Cinemas | Doha Oasis | Reported VIP and premium screening options |
| Novo Cinemas | Mall of Qatar | Standard and premium screens |
| Novo Cinemas | Place Vendôme | Standard and premium screens |
Both chains also operate at other Doha locations beyond these four, since their own sites list additional malls. Check each chain's own site or app for the full current list before you plan a visit.
Before you book
- Showtimes, formats, and ticket prices vary by location and by film. Book through the chain's own app or site.
- If you want a specific premium format, such as 4DX or IMAX, confirm which location offers it, since not every screen in a chain has the same format.
- Combine a cinema visit with a mall trip. See our guide to shopping malls in Qatar for what else each mall offers.
What we could not verify
- A complete, current list of every cinema location for either chain.
- Current ticket prices.
- Whether every reported premium format is currently operating at each location.
