Museums in Qatar: What Each One Covers
An overview of Qatar's main museums, run by Qatar Museums, including the Museum of Islamic Art, the National Museum of Qatar, and the 3-2-1 Olympic and Sports Museum.

Qatar has built a cluster of major museums over the past two decades, most run by Qatar Museums, the government authority for art, culture, and heritage. This guide gives a factual overview of what each is generally known for, not a ranking. We read Qatar Museums' own site and each museum's individual page in September 2026.
Main museums

The 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum
This museum opened to the public on 30 March 2022 and is reported to open daily from 9 AM to 7 PM, with shorter Friday hours from 1:30 PM. It is reported that Qatar residents and citizens can enter free with a valid QID, children 16 and under enter free, and non-resident adults pay a fee. Confirm current hours and fees on the museum's own site before you visit, since these can change.
