Furniture Stores in Qatar: Where to Shop
Well-known furniture and home decor stores in Qatar, including IKEA, Danube Home, and Pan Home, and what to check before you furnish a new home.

Furnishing a home in Qatar generally means choosing between a handful of large international furniture retailers, most with both physical stores and online ordering. This guide covers the well-known chains. We checked each retailer's own site in September 2026.
Well-known furniture stores
| Store | Known for |
|---|---|
| IKEA Qatar | Flat-pack furniture and home goods; located at Abu Sidra Mall in Lusail |
| Danube Home | A wide range of furniture and decor; located at Doha Festival City |
| Pan Home | Furniture and home decor, described as a more upscale range |
| Home Centre | Family-oriented furniture and decor |
What to check before you order
- Delivery timelines, since furniture, especially made-to-order pieces, can take longer than smaller purchases.
- Whether assembly is included or an extra charge.
- The return or exchange policy for furniture specifically, since some retailers treat it differently from smaller goods. See our guide to a store refusing a refund if you run into a problem.
- Measurements, including doorways and lift or stairwell access, before ordering large pieces.
Furnishing a rented home: check before you buy
Most expats furnish a rental, so a few checks come before any store visit. This is general practical guidance.
- Confirm with your landlord whether the unit is furnished, semi-furnished, or empty, and which fixtures such as wardrobes and kitchen appliances stay. Our guide to renting an apartment in Qatar explains the lease steps and where disputes are handled.
- Measure the lift, the door frames, and the stairwell, and note the floor you live on, since large pieces may not fit.
- Decide how long you will stay. If you may move within a year or two, flat-pack and modular pieces are easier to move than heavy made-to-order items. See our guide to moving companies in Qatar.
- Keep your electricity and water connected before delivery day so installers can work. See our guide to setting up a Kahramaa account.
What the law says if furniture arrives faulty
Qatar's Consumer Protection Law, Law No. 8 of 2008, which we read on Al Meezan for our guide to store refunds, applies to furniture like any other commodity. Article 5 says that if a commodity is defective or does not meet the prescribed standards, the supplier must give a refund or exchange, or repair the defect free of charge. Article 8 entitles you to a dated invoice, and Article 12 requires supplier contracts to include repair, maintenance, and after-sales service.
We did not find a rule in the law that treats made-to-order furniture differently, and we could not confirm any retailer's policy on cancelling a custom order. So get the delivery date, the cancellation terms, and the defect policy in writing before you pay a deposit. If a store will not resolve a fault, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry lists its call center on 16001.
Tips for a smooth delivery
These are general habits, not official advice.
- Inspect each item at delivery and note any damage on the delivery receipt before the team leaves.
- Photograph damage and the packaging straight away.
- Keep the invoice and the delivery receipt together.
- Ask whether the retailer will remove packaging and take away old furniture.
Common mistakes
- Ordering large pieces without measuring the lift and door frames.
- Paying a deposit on a made-to-order piece without a written delivery date.
- Signing the delivery receipt without checking for damage.
- Buying heavy furniture for a short tenancy, then paying to move it.
What we could not verify
- Current prices at any retailer.
- Delivery timelines, which vary by item and by retailer.
- Any retailer's current policy on cancelling or returning made-to-order furniture.
- A complete list of every furniture store in Qatar.
