Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix 2026: Schedule, Tickets and How to Get to Lusail
The F1 Qatar Grand Prix runs 27 to 29 November 2026 at Lusail International Circuit. The weekend schedule, ticket types, what is included, how to get there by Metro, shuttle, car or taxi, and what to bring.

The Qatar Grand Prix is the penultimate round of the 2026 season, held under floodlights at Lusail, about 30 kilometers north of central Doha. This guide covers the schedule, ticket types, getting there and practical tips, using the circuit's own page and Qatar Living's September 2026 traffic and viewing guide. Qatar Living noted a July report that the race was confirmed for now and that a final decision on Qatar and Abu Dhabi was expected by mid-September, so confirm the event is going ahead before you book travel. Gate times for 2026 were not published in the pages we read.
The weekend schedule
| Day | What happens |
|---|---|
| Friday, 27 November | Two free practice sessions |
| Saturday, 28 November | Third practice, then qualifying to set the grid |
| Sunday, 29 November | The 57 lap Grand Prix, starting at 7 pm local time according to Visit Qatar |
The circuit is 5.38 km long with 16 corners and a main straight of more than 1 km. The grid is reported at 22 drivers from 11 teams, including Audi's debut and Cadillac as the eleventh constructor. A separate MotoGP round runs earlier, see MotoGP Qatar 2026.
Which tickets are there?
Qatar Living reports that standard spectator tickets are 3-day passes covering Friday to Sunday, with no single day standard ticket. The circuit advises buying only through official Lusail International Circuit channels (tickets.lcsc.qa).
| Area | Reported approximate price (3 days) | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Main Grandstand (Zones A to F) | About QAR 2,000 | Along the start finish straight, sells out first |
| North Grandstand | About QAR 1,500 | Elevated view over a technical section |
| Turn 2, Turn 3 and Turn 16 grandstands | About QAR 1,000 each | Close braking zones, good for families |
| General Admission (Lusail Hill) | About QAR 600 | Roaming access to grassy banks |
These prices are approximate and come from Qatar Living, so confirm them on the official site. Qatar Living also lists 20% student discounts on selected categories (maximum four tickets per student, valid student ID needed) and 25% off Turn 16 for seniors aged 60 and over (maximum two tickets). Several Main Grandstand zones and General Admission were reported sold out by late August. Hospitality packages exist at much higher prices and availability is limited.
What is included in a ticket?
Every ticket is reported to include access to the Fanzone, a food court, post-race concerts and merchandise outlets, plus a free shuttle service, free parking and a dedicated taxi pick-up and drop-off zone. Qatar Tribune reports that the circuit brought back F1 Family Friday for 2026, with Fan Zone access and kids' areas, but we could not read the details.
How to get to Lusail International Circuit
- **Metro and shuttle.** Take the Doha Metro Red Line north, then the complimentary shuttle from the transport point to the gates. A travel site reports that Lusail Metro station is the northernmost stop, about 10 km from the circuit, with shuttle rides of about 20 minutes that can reach 40 at peak times. Qatar Tribune says shuttles run between the Lusail QNB Metro station and the circuit.
- **By car.** Free parking is included, and Qatar Living describes park-and-ride zones with shuttles to the gates. Arrive early and note your parking zone and row, since finding a car in the dark is a common problem.
- **Taxi and ride-hailing.** Use the dedicated zone. Expect a surge after the race. Book ahead, wait in the Fanzone, or ride to a Metro station.
See Lusail for the area and the tram's limited service this summer, and car rental companies in Qatar if you need a car.
What to bring
- A light jacket for the evening, ear protection (especially for children), a portable charger, valid ID, cash and card, and comfortable shoes.
- Expect airport style security, ticket scans at the gate and again at grandstands, and no re-entry once you leave the security perimeter, according to a travel guide.
- Do not bring items that are prohibited in Qatar. See what you cannot bring into Qatar.
Where to stay and eat
Hotels near Lusail fill early during race week. See hotels in Lusail for how to choose, Doha for a central base and shopping malls in Qatar for places to eat. If you are visiting from abroad, check entry rules in visa free entry, visa on arrival and Hayya.
