Hukoomi Support Ticket: How to Track and Escalate a Delayed Request
How to follow up on a Hukoomi request, work out who really owns a delay, and escalate step by step through 109 and email, based on Hukoomi's own pages.

A stalled request on a government portal is stressful, especially when it holds up a visa, a permit, or a payment. This guide explains how to follow up on a Hukoomi request, how to tell who owns the delay, and how to escalate one step at a time. It uses what Hukoomi and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) publish, and it says plainly what we could not check. We reviewed the official pages in September 2026.
What Hukoomi means by a support ticket now
Older Hukoomi pages called this service Query Support Ticket, and that is still the phrase many people search. The current Support page uses different wording. It lists Raise a Request, Chat with us, FAQs, Track request, and a feedback option called Your Opinion Matters. It describes Track request as a way to follow up on your existing requests through the platform.
When we opened the old query address, it landed on a My Activity area that includes a Support requests item, so requests appear to be tracked inside your Hukoomi account. We did not sign in, so we could not check which details Track request asks for or which statuses it shows.
Check this first
This section is our analysis, not an official rule.
- Sign in with the same Tawtheeq account you used to raise the request. Hukoomi signs users in through Tawtheeq, so a different account will not show the request. If you cannot sign in, see our guide to fixing a Hukoomi registration problem.
- Find your reference number in the confirmation message or email. Every follow-up goes faster with it.
- Decide what is actually delayed. A Hukoomi request about the portal is not the same as an application decided by a ministry. Our reading is that Hukoomi support handles questions and problems with the portal and its e-services, while the decision on an application belongs to the entity that runs the service. If you are unsure, ask 109.
- Note the date you raised the request. A clear timeline is the strongest thing you can give a support agent.
How to track a request
- Open the Hukoomi Support page at hukoomi.gov.qa and choose Track request.
- Sign in with Tawtheeq if you are asked to. We expect this because the service sits under My Activity, but we did not verify it.
- Look for your request under Support requests in My Activity.
- Write down the status and the date you checked it.
If nothing changes after a reasonable wait, move to the escalation steps below. We found no official response time for Hukoomi requests, so we cannot tell you how long is too long. Be wary of any site that quotes one without naming an official source.
Who actually owns the delay?
Many people raise a Hukoomi request when the real delay sits with a ministry. In that case the ministry's own channel is faster than Hukoomi. The following are our own guides for common cases.
- Residency or visa applications: see visa applications that were rejected, an expired residence permit, and an expired Qatar ID.
- Metrash app or code problems: see Metrash problems and fixes.
- Work and pay problems: see how to file a labor complaint and what to do about a delayed salary.
- Traffic fines: see how to dispute a fine shown by mistake.
Escalate step by step
Move down this list only when the step above has not worked. This order is our suggestion.
- Step 1: Follow up with the entity that owns the service, using its own app, portal, or service center. Keep proof that you asked.
- Step 2: Check your Hukoomi request with Track request, and note any status change.
- Step 3: Call 109. Hukoomi's Tawtheeq page describes 109 as the official, unified hotline supporting Qatar's e-government services 24/7, where you can ask about government information or complain about any government e-service. MCIT's own page lists 9 languages and 7 interaction channels, and reports a 90 percent solution rate from first contact. That is MCIT's figure, and it is undated. From outside Qatar the Support page lists +974 4406 9999.
- Step 4: Email [email protected] with your reference number, the service name, and a short timeline.
- Step 5: If the delay is inside a specific ministry, complain to that ministry through its official channel. For labor matters, use the labor complaint route.
The Your Opinion Matters option is described as a way to share thoughts and suggestions about Hukoomi's services. Use it for feedback, not as a case escalation.
What to have ready when you call or write
- Your name and Qatar ID number, or the passport number if you have no QID yet.
- The service you used and the date you raised the request.
- The reference number and the last status you saw.
- Screenshots of any error message, with the date and time visible.
- What you already tried, in order.
A message you can adapt
Keep it short and factual: "Hello, I raised a request through Hukoomi on 3 September for the service named below, reference number 12345. The status has not changed since 5 September. Please tell me who is handling it, what is needed from me, and when I can expect an update. I attach a screenshot of the status. Thank you." Save the reply and any new reference number.
Beware of paid middlemen
Search results for Hukoomi support include commercial agencies that sell Hukoomi services. The official Support page we read lists no fee for raising or tracking a request. Before paying anyone, ask exactly what the fee covers. Never share a one-time code or your Tawtheeq password with an agent, since those give full access to your government accounts.
Real problems people run into
- I cannot find Track request. Look for the Support page first, and check under My Activity after signing in. The wording has changed from Query Support Ticket.
- I raised a request but cannot find a reference number. Check your email and messages, and then ask 109 to find it with your Qatar ID.
- The status has not changed for weeks. Follow the steps above, and do not raise many duplicate requests, since they can be harder to track.
- The delay is for a visa or permit. Contact the ministry that decides it. Hukoomi may not be able to speed up another entity's decision.
What we could not verify
- What Track request asks for and which statuses it shows, because it sits behind sign-in.
- Any official response or resolution time for Hukoomi requests.
- Whether you can add a follow-up to an existing request. If not, quote the old reference in a new one.
- Fees for other services. The Support page lists none for requests, but each service sets its own.
Frequently asked questions
How do I track a Hukoomi support ticket?
Hukoomi's Support page lists a Track request option for following up on existing requests through the platform. Older pages called it Query Support Ticket. It appears to sit under My Activity in your account, but we could not check the details without signing in.
What number do I call about a delayed government service?
Call 109 inside Qatar, or +974 4406 9999 from outside. Hukoomi and MCIT describe 109 as the official, unified hotline for government e-services, open 24/7.
How long does Hukoomi take to answer a request?
We found no official response time for Hukoomi requests. Treat any timeline from an unofficial site with caution, and ask 109 if you need an update.
Can Hukoomi speed up my visa or permit?
Not necessarily. Applications are decided by the entity that runs the service, such as a ministry. Use that entity's own channel first, and use Hukoomi or 109 for portal problems or to find out who handles the case.
Does it cost anything to raise a Hukoomi request?
The Support page we read lists no fee for raising or tracking a request. Some agencies sell Hukoomi services, so ask exactly what a fee covers before you pay.
I cannot sign in to see my request. What should I do?
Hukoomi signs you in through Tawtheeq, the National Authentication System. Use its self-service page to reset your password, update your mobile number, or unsuspend your account, or call 109.
