Qatar Medical Commission Appointment Problem: What to Do
Quick answer
Book a Medical Commission appointment on the Ministry of Public Health's online booking system with your QID or establishment ID, and pay the fee online. If your result is missing, the Ministry says to allow up to 72 hours. If it still does not reach the MOI system, go to the Medical Commission counter. Hukoomi lists 44073933 for help.

The Medical Commission examination is a common step for a residence permit, and a booking or result problem can hold up the rest of your paperwork. This guide follows the Hukoomi booking and residence pages, and the Ministry of Public Health's results page, all read in September 2026. It marks what the sources do not say, especially about why a slot may be unavailable.

How booking works

Hukoomi's page says individuals may book appointments online, and establishments may also book for their workers and employees. The steps it lists are:

  • Open the Medical Commission's online appointment booking system.
  • Choose the account type, individual or establishment.
  • Enter the QID or establishment ID and the password, then log in.
  • Enter the requested information and attach the required documents.
  • Pay the fee online and print the receipt.

If you have no account, the page says to choose new user, select the account type, enter the information, and follow the instructions. It also says you may book directly through the Medical Commission Department.

What the exam involves and costs

The Hukoomi page for the residence permit medical says applicants visit the Medical Commission with the required documents. It lists the original passport, a clear copy of the residence permit with a phone number for emergencies, and a medical certificate from an accredited center in the worker's country. It lists a fee of QAR 100, paid by payment cards, and says companies must register their employees on Hukoomi. The booking page says fees vary by the reason for the examination, so confirm the fee for your case when you book.

Why a booking may not work

The sources do not explain why a slot is unavailable, so these are common practical causes and not official reasons.

  • The account type is wrong. Individuals and establishments use different logins.
  • A document is missing or not attached.
  • The payment did not complete.
  • No slot is free for your date. Try another day, or ask the Medical Commission Department.

If your result does not show

The Ministry of Public Health's results checker lets you search by MC number, visa number, or QID number, plus the date of the test. Its notes say:

  • Allow up to 72 hours for your results to be updated.
  • You can check results for the previous 3 months only.
  • If the results are not reflected in the MOI system, consult the Medical Commission counter.

The service covers examinations at the Medical Commission in Mesaimeer, the Red Crescent in Mesaimeer, Karwa on Industrial Road, and Al Ahli, Al Emadi, and Doha Clinic hospitals.

Where to go and when

The Ministry lists the main Medical Commission building in Musaimeer as open Sunday to Thursday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, and says to contact other authorized centers for their own hours. Hukoomi's booking page lists 44073933 and [email protected] for help. Confirm the current details on the Ministry's page before you travel.

PHCC health centers

PHCC says some Medical Commission services are available at its health centers. It says new migrant domestic workers, such as family housemaids and drivers, can do the examinations for their MOI residence permit at selected centers, and that appointments can be rescheduled through 107. For PHCC bookings in general, see our guide to health center appointment problems.

Related steps

The medical result is one part of the residence process. If the visa itself is pending, see our guide to a visa application under process. If you need help with the government portal, see our guide to the Hukoomi support ticket. For a wider view of care in Qatar, see the healthcare system in Qatar.

Common mistakes

  • Booking under the wrong account type.
  • Forgetting the passport, the residence permit copy, or the certificate from the home country.
  • Checking the result before 72 hours have passed.
  • Checking after 3 months, since the checker only shows the previous 3 months.

What we could not verify

  • Why a particular slot or date is unavailable.
  • Current waiting times for an appointment.
  • Whether the QAR 100 fee applies to every reason for a medical examination.
  • The hours of the authorized private hospitals.
